The Picnic

I have been going out for two consecutive nights already. Now, the time has come that I should just sit and chillax under a relaxing environment. So, I went together with my Ates in the office to Rainforest, Pasig City (which was a long way from my place pala, so I was practically tired going to and fro). The sun was not so hot and the coolness of the air that surrounds us is just right. It was a perfect day for a picnic. But technically, what we had was only half-way to picnic because we were not able to bring picnic mats, so we ended up renting a cottage at P100.

Anyhow, we had a great time. We also toured around the mini-zoo and the mini garden, took pictures and just had fun. When sunset came, we called it a day.

I hope you'll also enjoy the pictures!

Pre-Valentine Weekend

Like a few others, I am an occasion person. I seldom forget birthdays, anniversaries and the like. I love celebrating even simple stuff like acing an exam. Thus, Valentine's day is no exception. I may not have a "partner" to highlight it with romance, but I have plenty of friends to spend it with.

Actually, I still feel a little sad that I won't be able to celebrate V-day at home. Because FYI, our family celebrates it. And this year would be the third time that I am away from home. On 2009, I had my duty at the hospital, and last year (2010), I have to deal with my upcoming final thesis defense. My Mom would usually order a cake and the four of us will gather together like it's a big deal of a family affair. If I'm not mistaken, we even went to the beach way back grade school to just hang out on Valentine's. See? It may be an ordinary occasion to some families since some dwell more on the couples, the partners and the lovers, but not us. We were raised not to think of dates and getting swept off our feet during Valentine's. We grew up spending it  with our family and  spreading love to others (classmates or neighbors) through card giving or it can sometimes be an ice cream stick with a heart-shaped card saying "Happy Hearts Day" or a laminated heart bookmark, and the like. Things like those complete our Valentine's, and I somehow feel incomplete for not having done those for the past three years. Maybe, it's just a matter of getting used to on how I spend the hearts day. Nevertheless, I am still happy having my friends around during times like this.

Here are the photos of my Pre-Valentine Weekend:

Photos from last weekend (Mixed Emotions)

I promised here that I would share the pictures taken last weekend (Feb5-6) as soon as I get the chance, thus, I wanted to apologize for the delay of sharing the them. A lot has been happening lately and I couldn't just find the time to somehow put them all together. So, here they go:

Mixed Emotions

Friday--Exhausted
I went home very late last Friday night. I did not go out nor went to the mall. I had to run some errands at the office so I ended up going home around 11PM. I was overworked and exhausted. But I am still no workaholic. It's just that a lot of things has to be done before the weekend. When I arrived at home, I literally slumped into my bed after changing my clothes and fell asleep just like that.

Wayward Weekend

I have been doing good with spending my weekends wisely, but not so much this time.

Saturday was sorta hectic for me. I went to run some errands then met up with a friend at MOA, toured the gym and went to our friends' dorm. I ended up not sending my laundry to the shop, thus I was obliged to wash my Monday uniform the next day.

Unproductive But Rewarding Weekend

This weekend is more than ordinary. Out of randomness, I have gone through this weekend unproductively at the same time, rewarding. I have written a rundown of my Saturday activities here. Now, let me share a bit of my Sunday's not-so-best happenings.

I woke up very late (I choose not to tell what time), because I ended up sleeping at wee hours in the morning since I watched Frozen Flower. It's a Korean movie starred by Jo In-seong. He is the one who played Paolo in Memories of Bali...hmmm..still have no idea? Google it! I am not really a big fan of Korean movies (but I quite enjoy watching series), I just watched it because it was lent to us by a friend who declares it was bought from Korea talaga and worth watching pa. Let me warn you that this movie is highly rated PG. The movie is just OK (for me), so I am in no position to tell you whether to watch it or not.

The Working Weekend

I've always had my weekend off. Meaning, I am free during the whole day of Saturdays and Sundays! Unfortunately, this weekend didn't turn out just like the way I wanted it.

Saturday supposed to be was my lipat-bahay schedule, along with allocation and arrangement of the new place, buying needed stuffs and getting things done. But I wasn't able to do that since I have to report to the office at 9am and might as well end at 6pm (same to my daily schedule). It was just like I went to work on a regular day, with a regular pay. It is not counted as OT. Actually. So, I have to wake up much earlier to send my things to the apartment, then went to the office right after. I had a lot of caffeine shots to keep me going that day. After punching out from the office, I went straight to the grocery to buy my toiletries, then went home because I still have to finish unpacking.
