Month-end Update

As promised, every end of the month I'll give you updates regarding my progress with my New Year's Resolutions. I am not very proud of this month's outcome. I just hope I would do better the next month.

Reposted/Edited

I just had my period. And I really am not happy every time it visits. So, let me share to you an edited post.

Sometimes I really hate my girly parts.
And if you’re a girl (or if you, at least, have had the misfortune of living with a bunch of girls) you’ll understand what I mean when I say that sometimes I just want to rip my uterus out and declare myself asexual.

Post Valentine Date

I was supposed to meet my "date" last night, but unfortunately my sched does not conform to the time and place, thus, I ended up celebrating Vday at home. (Wanna know what happened to my Valentine's? Click here.)

So after I left the office early today, I headed to Mall of Asia. But I dropped by my house first to change. I did not just meet with my "Valentino", but with Tati and Charlie, too! It's still not too late to celebrate the Valentine's with a bunch of friends. Here are some of the photos taken this evening:

Valentine's With A Twist

I believe I have told you in my previous post on how I spend my typical Valentine's Day. And how random things surprise me, I celebrated it today with quite a twist. And I wanna thank my dearest amiga, Eriline Mae Descalsota and her boyfriend (my lifter way back then), John Andrew Delgado for making my day.

Let these photos do the talking:

Pre-Valentine Weekend

Like a few others, I am an occasion person. I seldom forget birthdays, anniversaries and the like. I love celebrating even simple stuff like acing an exam. Thus, Valentine's day is no exception. I may not have a "partner" to highlight it with romance, but I have plenty of friends to spend it with.

Actually, I still feel a little sad that I won't be able to celebrate V-day at home. Because FYI, our family celebrates it. And this year would be the third time that I am away from home. On 2009, I had my duty at the hospital, and last year (2010), I have to deal with my upcoming final thesis defense. My Mom would usually order a cake and the four of us will gather together like it's a big deal of a family affair. If I'm not mistaken, we even went to the beach way back grade school to just hang out on Valentine's. See? It may be an ordinary occasion to some families since some dwell more on the couples, the partners and the lovers, but not us. We were raised not to think of dates and getting swept off our feet during Valentine's. We grew up spending it  with our family and  spreading love to others (classmates or neighbors) through card giving or it can sometimes be an ice cream stick with a heart-shaped card saying "Happy Hearts Day" or a laminated heart bookmark, and the like. Things like those complete our Valentine's, and I somehow feel incomplete for not having done those for the past three years. Maybe, it's just a matter of getting used to on how I spend the hearts day. Nevertheless, I am still happy having my friends around during times like this.

Here are the photos of my Pre-Valentine Weekend:

Photos from last weekend (Mixed Emotions)

I promised here that I would share the pictures taken last weekend (Feb5-6) as soon as I get the chance, thus, I wanted to apologize for the delay of sharing the them. A lot has been happening lately and I couldn't just find the time to somehow put them all together. So, here they go:

Letting Go

"There are things that we don't want to happen but have to accept, things we don't want to know but have to learn, and people we can't live without but have to let go."
My cousin TJ posted the particular phrase above in his Facebook status after we have learned what happened to our Tita Nieves. We have then agreed to change our profile pictures to black and white to pay respects to our beloved aunt, initiated by yours truly.

I love sports as much as my Dad loves it. He's one of those sporty guys I know, and he's the one who has influenced me to become a sports enthusiast though I am not that  healthy and fit to be one.

I so love blogging. It allows me to freely express myself without the need of approval from an EIC or a proof-reader. Thanks to Ms. Kayce of My Life and My Journey Online for sharing the link. I then gladly obliged myself to be a part of this wonderful program, too! I wanna meet more bloggers and make new friends all over the blog-niverse.

Lousy Monday

Blame it to the women's famous mood swings. I rarely experience such. And even I don't have my period right now, I had quite a temperamental behavior today. I might have woken up in the wrong side of the bed.

First and foremost, I woke up with a twitched-eye-look (the look you usually get after crying bags of tears overnight). I was so pissed when I saw myself in the mirror because FYI, I did not cry (even though my Aunt just died on Saturday and yesterday commemorates my Mom's 16th death anniversary). I don't like crying because it makes me look hideous--the swelling eyes and reddened nose.

Mixed Emotions

Friday--Exhausted
I went home very late last Friday night. I did not go out nor went to the mall. I had to run some errands at the office so I ended up going home around 11PM. I was overworked and exhausted. But I am still no workaholic. It's just that a lot of things has to be done before the weekend. When I arrived at home, I literally slumped into my bed after changing my clothes and fell asleep just like that.

Late Post: Starbucks Planner 2011

I was so thrilled to use my Silver Metal Starbucks Planner 2011 when our calendar at home was changed to January 2011. I'm not really an avid fan of planners but I always have kept one. I am even more enthusiastic when things are unplanned yet I find this little stuff useful to remember the things that I would always forget. I am excited to use my planner for this year because I earned it from my addiction--caffeine!

When Starbucks announced the start date of their holiday treat, I was so excited since twas my first time! This is not their first set of planners, I think they already started this 2-3 years ago. And thankfully, with the help of a fellow caffeine addict, I was able to get one on December 4, 2010.

Kung Hei Fat Choi!

To be honest, I do not have Chinese blood (which is very obvious) but I chose to celebrate the Chinese New Year last midnight just to make up for the New Year that I wasn't able to celebrate since I fell asleep. I ended up reporting to the office late this morning, though.

Anyways, this blog is to give update regarding my progress with my New Year's Resolutions. I am very proud to declare that I am doing great for the first month. And I hope it continues to the next succeeding months.

Let Us Celebrate

It's not a major celebration though, just a gathering to rejoice for the success of the Janwarriors (my friends who took the Pharmacy board last month). We ate dinner, roam around UST grounds, watched a silly movie, and spent the night together since it'll be their last (they're scheduled to go home the next day to Iloilo). Eventhough I have work the next day, it did not matter. I just wanna spend some time with my friends. That is what you call LOVE. Let these pictures do the talking:

Hello Love Month

This love month, all I wanna do is just talk about love, anything related to it or anything that I would relate to it. I call the shots here, thus I can post whatever I want. Hah!

What is love? It's the question frequently asked in slum books or autographs. Girls oftentimes giggle whenever they write an answer for this question. Maybe except for me. For when I first encountered that very same question way back grade school, I came up to my Dad to ask for a very witty-sounding answer to impress my friends.
