Boombastic Monday

I did not have a great day at the office so, let's skip that part. Let's dwell on the good things that happen despite all the stress and hassle--one of those is the announcement of the January 25-26, 2011 Pharmacist Licensure Examination result.

Wayward Weekend

I have been doing good with spending my weekends wisely, but not so much this time.

Saturday was sorta hectic for me. I went to run some errands then met up with a friend at MOA, toured the gym and went to our friends' dorm. I ended up not sending my laundry to the shop, thus I was obliged to wash my Monday uniform the next day.

Thursday Madness

I was sort of exhausted from yesterday's field work. I was not able to have lunch because I waited to be entertained by Dr. Duke (name has been changed for privacy reason) regarding the papers I am processing. Plus, I went home late because we have to attend to our lymphedema patient, as scheduled.

Today was quite uncanny. I started my day at the office having a tumbler of lukewarm coffee and a slice of bread. I did not feel sleepy nor did I feel alert either. It was just OK. I did my daily routine--preparing RFs, dispensing meds, answering phone calls, replying emails, and the like. I was just having a normal activity, on a normal day.

Fashionably Me...Or So I Believed

As promised in my post here, let me share to you a few photos that I have searched far and wide just for you. I looked for the photos of me wearing leggings, socks and stockings! So without further adieu, here they are:

Extra Work is Fun

Did I say fun? Oh, yes I did! But hey, I just realized what I said. My title says extra work, how come it became fun?

Actually, I am referring to a writing job that I signed up. I may have a lot of workload here at the office already, but I still signed up to the job since I really am into writing. And it seems that it is my only way (aside from blogging) to keep my thoughts coming. At the same time, I can also use what I have studied in college because I only chose to write for certain subjects. Right now, I am already accepted as a freelance writer and I still have to pass a trial period as a new comer. I do not know if I am doing good already. I just do hope I am so that I can keep my so called "writing job".

Actually, I really feel happy having this extra work. Writing is one of my leisure pursuit. I have been a constant staff of school paper organizations since elementary through college. I hope I can still keep it until the day I still can.

Unproductive But Rewarding Weekend

This weekend is more than ordinary. Out of randomness, I have gone through this weekend unproductively at the same time, rewarding. I have written a rundown of my Saturday activities here. Now, let me share a bit of my Sunday's not-so-best happenings.

I woke up very late (I choose not to tell what time), because I ended up sleeping at wee hours in the morning since I watched Frozen Flower. It's a Korean movie starred by Jo In-seong. He is the one who played Paolo in Memories of Bali...hmmm..still have no idea? Google it! I am not really a big fan of Korean movies (but I quite enjoy watching series), I just watched it because it was lent to us by a friend who declares it was bought from Korea talaga and worth watching pa. Let me warn you that this movie is highly rated PG. The movie is just OK (for me), so I am in no position to tell you whether to watch it or not.

Lazy Saturday

Since I went home very late last night, I ended up waking during lunch time today. I barely had the strength to get up since I felt like I needed more sleep than I already had. My stomach was grumbling already but I opted to turn the television on first before heading to the bathroom. There was no particular show that caught my attention so I decided to take a bath for me to grab some lunch.

I had lunch at Jollibee. (Actually I took the food with me at home. I don't feel like eating alone in public. Unless duty calls.) I ordered my usual meal--spaghetti with chicken and sprite without ice. I dropped by Mercury Drug to buy Kitkat, lots of 'em. I was kinda starving na at the moment so I hurried back to the apartment to eat.

Crazy Friday

The big bosses are out (they usually are, on Fridays). So the lethargic afternoon, turned euphoric when the office receptionist pulled out her camera and asked us to post for pictures. The ordinary office staff turned into glam supermodels! (Okay, I am just exaggerating. *giggles*) Here are some of those charming, goofy, nonsense photos:

Busy Bee

For the past few days, my non-workaholic self turned into some busy bee. Most especially this week that my immediate superior in our department is out, and I have to attend to both mine and her workloads (hmm...just some). It seems that most of my time are consumed by work (though I have already mentioned this in my previous post).

Monday Rush

Did you ever hear me rant here about work? Hmmm. Maybe once or twice. But not really. Now, please hear me out.

For two consecutive Mondays already, I feel like I have been working like hell. I am supposed to feel fresh and enthusiastic every Monday, but, here's the BUT, unfortunately I feel the other way around. When I smell the perfect aroma of coffee every time I enter the office, I would instantly feel alert even without having one cup (because I am trying to be real and serious with my resolutions). But yesterday and last Monday, I felt the weight of my workload welcoming me early in the morning. It seemed so heavy to bear that when lunch time came, I was able to finish every food inside my lunch box (I'll be blogging about this soon...), which is a good thing though because I am trying to gain weight also. But how am I supposed to do that when the food I eat everyday is not even enough to compensate my lost energy. I was not been able to blog also! Not to mention keeping up with those blogs I follow. And, did you know that I wasn't able to watch TV and take dinner because when I arrived at home I headed straight to my bed after changing my clothes and drinking milk.

Twas A Whole New Weekend

I have said things in my previous post regarding on how I spend my typical Fridays, covering the weekends. This time around, it came to me differently.

I have declared a lot of things in my New Year's Resolutions. And by declaring those, I am obliged to work very hard to achieve it.

Anyway, this Friday was a whole lot of fun without the party, take note: without the party! Actually, I haven't gone out to parties since the 1st of January. After I wrote about the resolutions, I am determined to accomplish my goals, and I am serious about it. Thus, the abstaining began.

T.G.I.F.

Thank God It's Friday may sound cliché, but I always look forward to Fridays ever since I started school, up to now that I already have work!

I know, I should be apologetic for lack of posts. So here I am, making up for it.

When I was in grade school back then, I looked forward to Fridays for some silly reasons:
*School's over and Monday is still a long way to go
*I don't have to suffer doing homeworks during afternoon
*AND...I'll have the whole weekend to play, play, and play! Spell F-U-N!

Start Your Monday Right

I was browsing through numerous blogs during my office break, when I came across with a very nice message here. Thankfully, the author advised to reblog it, so I took the liberty to post it here in my page.

The Working Weekend

I've always had my weekend off. Meaning, I am free during the whole day of Saturdays and Sundays! Unfortunately, this weekend didn't turn out just like the way I wanted it.

Saturday supposed to be was my lipat-bahay schedule, along with allocation and arrangement of the new place, buying needed stuffs and getting things done. But I wasn't able to do that since I have to report to the office at 9am and might as well end at 6pm (same to my daily schedule). It was just like I went to work on a regular day, with a regular pay. It is not counted as OT. Actually. So, I have to wake up much earlier to send my things to the apartment, then went to the office right after. I had a lot of caffeine shots to keep me going that day. After punching out from the office, I went straight to the grocery to buy my toiletries, then went home because I still have to finish unpacking.

New Place, New Roomies for the New Year!

I just moved from Cainta, Rizal to Makati City, baby!

It's such a good omen to welcome the new year with a lot of new things. But even though I am quite ecstatic moving in with my best bud from high school and my cousin, I am already missing my housemates back in Cainta.

They (the housemates) may not be related to me by blood, but we consider ourselves siblings! They are like my long lost Ates and Kuyas that I have always wished for when I was still little. I hope they are doing alright without me or rather me without them.

Here are the people I owe a lot for my approximately 6 months stay in Cainta:

They are so IN! Again!

Stockings! Leggings! Socks! I wanna get a lot more of these cute little things. I'm dying to wear them all year.

Though Philippines, unfortunately, does not experience four seasons, I personally fancy winter clothes. But since I don't get to wear them here, I just became fond of them. Thankfully, a few pieces of a winter-wonderland get-up are so in this year..

I know that these pieces--stockings, leggings, above-the-knee socks--are so like last year, but then again, they are still in!

Lost Cards

After the incident on January 1st, I just realized how important my cards were. Among the lost ones are my company ID, PRC ID, college ID, and my bank cards. I really experienced the hassle of having to reason out whenever asked for identification. Fortunately, I have one valid ID left that helped me through the past few days--my Postal ID.

With the lost cards, I have to deal with the process of getting them replaced.

As for my bank cards, I didn't have a hard time requesting for replacement since they accept phone transactions. I also had a smooth transaction with my company ID because all I did was just ask for a replacement from our lay-out artist. Unlike my PRC ID, I really have to go to their office and file to request for a new ID. Plus, I have to wait for approximately 15 working days before I would be able to get the replacement. As for my college ID, I will never be able to get it back. It's a good thing though that I scanned my IDs the last time before I lost them. Was that a sign that I will be losing them? Hmmm. Here, let me show you.

Hello Work, Goodbye Holidays

Hi there!

Yesterday was very stressful. I wasn't able to post a blog because I have to attend first to my paper works before dwelling on whatever I can do online during light hours. The world wide web is my fun place when I am at work. I'm glad to have found playmates, in the person of my blog-mates, who help me ease the stress away.

Anyway, I was blog-hopping when I came across Earthlingorgeous.com Blogversary Birthday Giveaway. I started blogging through multiply around early 2007. Then joined blogger on December 2008. I would have had celebrated blogversaries as well if I hadn't been inactive. I got inspired to continue on blogging and perhaps have my very first blogversary in the near future, and maybe with the giveaway as well. I can't wait!

In the meantime, let's get back to work fellas!

The New Year's Resolutions

I was supposed to share the list of my resolutions as my first blog in this newly created site of mine as to welcome the New Year. I have even prepared a list already. But since something came up, there had been some changes. Nevertheless, I can still post my list. So, here it goes.

1.1.11

What a bang to start the year! Yeah. Really. My world shattered a little after what happened but I was able to pick up the pieces and put them back together. Let me tell you a story of what happened to me on the first day of the year.

On a cold evening of January 1st, my friend and I arrived at NAIA Terminal 2 earlier than the ETA. I was already feeling ill so we decided to head straight home. We hailed a cab and the sickly me took a nap on the way home. When we got near the house, I panicked because I thought the gate was locked and I do not have the keys to open the gate! I stepped down the cab immediately the moment it stopped and tried opening the gate and was relieved when I was able to open it. I went back to the cab and got our things from the compartment. The cab driver even asked when he was about to leave if we got everything and I responded with a confident yes. When already inside, I wanted to go straight to bed but remembered that I need to check something online so I turned to my stuff when I realized that one bag is missing!!! I left the bag that is sitting beside me in the cab. It contained my laptop, IDs, ATMs, and other necessary documents. I wasn't able to get the plate number because I was too confident nothing will happen since I was travelling with someone. I was starting to feel cold and numb. So before I lose my sanity about the situation, I gathered all my shit back together. My friend and I went outside the village right away to wait for the cab to come back, hoping and praying that the cab driver or the next passenger would be kind enough to return my stuff.
